NOVI, Mich. Nov. 8, 2024 – Our Next Energy (ONE) a Michigan-based energy storage technology company, today announced the closing of the company’s office in Hwaseong, South Korea. The decision to close the office was made as part of the company’s efforts to centralize battery cell development in Michigan.

Our Next Energy Korea Limited was opened in 2023 and had less than 10 employees. Some of the team members were given the opportunity relocate and join the U.S.-based battery cell team. ONE started pilot production of domestically made lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells in October 2023 at the company’s battery factory complex in Van Buren Township, Mich.

On October 29th of 2024, Our Next Energy Korea Ltd. decided to dissolve in accordance with the consent of all shareholders. Those who have claims against the company should report their objection and the claim amount within two months from the date of this announcement. Any claims after the date will be excluded from the liquidation.
