ONE Launches U.S. Manufactured Grid Products: LFP Cells, Modules and Battery Management Systems
ONE’s Grid products will enable customer projects to qualify for the 10 percent Investment Tax Credit (ITC) bonus.
Starting in 2027, ONE will qualify for 100 percent domestic content per the IRS safe harbor table.
ONE’s 1,500V, 836 kWh integrated rack system emerges as the industry standard in an undersupplied and growing grid market.
NOVI, Mich. May 15, 2025 – Our Next Energy Inc. (ONE), a Michigan-based energy storage technology company, today announced it is addressing a critical gap in the energy storage industry by offering customers a full suite of products including domestically made battery cells, modules and a battery management system (BMS).
“The increased load demand by data centers and manufacturing on the U.S. utility grid has fueled the growth of the energy storage industry, creating an incredible need for domestically made cells, modules and battery management systems,” said Mujeeb Ijaz, CEO & Founder of ONE. “By offering a variety of product options, we can engage with more customers on a number of different projects and programs, while allowing ONE to scale production at our battery cell factory in Michigan.”
Last year, with increased load demands on the grid, battery storage capacity in the U.S. increased 66 percent from 2023 to 10.4 GWh in 2024. This growth is expected to continue, with many industry analysts expecting the grid-scale storage in the U.S. to exceed 100 GWh by 2030.
To meet the growing demand for grid storage products ONE has launched three new products:
ONE 314 Ah LFP Cell – The 314 Ah LFP cell is the workhorse of the energy storage industry due to its compatibility with a wide range of products. ONE’s 314 Ah LFP cell offers customers a domestic supply chain, supply chain transparency and domestic manufacturing. U.S.-manufactured cells are now required for battery energy storage system projects to receive the 10 percent domestic content Investment Tax Credit. ONE’s cell will also adhere to the European Union’s battery passport requirements.
Aries Grid Module – Using its commercial vehicle experience, ONE developed its Aries Grid Module with a focus on safety and energy density. The domestically manufactured Aries Grid Module was engineered with multiple redundant systems designed and proven to prevent and contain a thermal propagation event.
Grid Battery Management System – ONE’s U.S.-developed and manufactured grid battery management system has been engineered to optimize safety, security and efficiency within a stationary storage system. It delivers up to 1,500V and 350A continuous current and utilizes distributed cell monitoring units.
