Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Creates detailed validation test plans (DVP&R) based on specifications and requirements. Requires detailed understanding of specifications and interpretation of complex technical documents. Understanding and interpretation will be supported by direct interaction, communication, and input from internal and external customers.
Hands-on coordination with internal and external laboratories to ensure accurate cost quoting, scheduling, smooth and flawless test setup, test execution, test report documentation.
Serve as a project lead and coordinate the efforts of a small validation team. Take ownership of the entire validation project. Delegate portions of the validation project to team members while also completing a portion of the validation.
Executes test activities as required and assist with measurement systems analysis for routine testing procedures.
Reviews new and updated specifications, identify challenges, and develop implementation plans to execute validation test activities.
Provides feedback on means to improve test plans, sample preparation and testing procedures.
Provide detailed test data analysis and internal test reports to engineering on any product failures found during testing. Support initial problem solving on product validation failures.
Ensure all issues found during product testing are identified, documented and tracked during each testing phase.
Summarizes and review test results with team. Communicate abnormalities or inconsistencies within test results.
Provides technical support to internal and external customers, suppliers, and team(s).
Recommend, purchase, and implement any tools or test fixtures required for the completion of assigned testing.
Performs any additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of validation experience developing DVP&R’s and / or Test Plans and Procedures.
Preferred 5+ years of battery testing experience.
High proficiency using analytical tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Project, and other applications as required.
Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and make corrections.
Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with a team.
CANalyzer/CAPL experience is a plus.
NI VeriStand, TestStand experience is a plus.
